***Big Ed owns the lowest career ERA in MLB history at 1.82. In 1908 he had an astonishing 40 wins with only 15 losses. In addition he finished with a 1.42 ERA and a league record 11 shutouts. He won 195 career games with a whopping 250 complete games to go along with 57 shutouts. He suffered a serious arm injury in 1913 and was ineffective from that time on, pitching only a total of 190 innings in his last 5 seasons.
